MotorEvents does not require an account to browse events. When you use the site, we may collect:
Analytics
Pages visited, search queries, and usage patterns via Google Analytics. This helps us understand which features people use.
Location
To show events near you, the site may ask your browser for your precise location — sharing it is optional and your browser will ask for permission first. Coordinates stay in your browser and are only used to find nearby events. If you decline (or until you decide), we fall back to Cloudflare geolocation headers (approximate city/region) to personalize results.
Form submissions
If you submit an event, report an issue, or contact us, we store the information you provide (name, email, message).
When the owner connects [email protected], MotorEvents uses the Gmail API to send replies to website requests and activity notifications to the business mailbox. Visitors do not connect their own Google accounts.
Google grants permission to send email and read the connected mailbox, including continued access while the owner is away. The read permission covers the entire mailbox. Our application retrieves conversations linked to website requests and checks Sent messages to confirm uncertain deliveries. It does not request permission to delete email or change mailbox settings.
We store linked message text, sender and recipient addresses, subjects, dates, message identifiers and delivery status in our private Supabase database. Authorized MotorEvents administrators can read these conversations to handle requests. Railway runs the email processing, and Google delivers the mail. The connection token is encrypted before storage. Attachments are not copied into the admin Inbox; the owner can open the original conversation in Gmail.
Gmail data is used only to provide these email and request-management features. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Request and conversation records remain available until removed by a MotorEvents administrator. The owner can revoke future Gmail access in their Google Account's third-party connections settings. Revoking access does not erase existing website records or the original messages in Gmail. To request removal of stored website correspondence, email [email protected] or use our contact form. Database backups can retain copies until their normal retention period ends.
We may display advertisements on the site through Google AdSense or other third-party ad networks. Under our launch default, Google ad tags load only after you click Accept; if you click Reject or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, Google ad tags do not load. We do not share personally identifiable information with advertisers.
We use cookies for Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and admin sessions. Google Analytics and Google AdSense only load after you click Accept on the consent banner (or after a prior visit where you already did). Cloudflare Web Analytics may run as infrastructure-level, cookieless measurement and does not use browser storage. Admin session cookies are strictly necessary and are set only on the admin login pages.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We don't sell your data, but our use of Google Analytics and Google AdSense may qualify as "sharing" under CCPA's broad definition.

Your choice is stored in your browser. If you use a different browser or clear your storage, you'll need to opt out again.
Our infrastructure uses Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, security, and Web Analytics), Supabase (database, authentication, and storage), Railway (hosting and scheduled workers), Sentry (error monitoring), Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Google Gmail for business correspondence when connected. These services may process requests on our behalf. We don't share your personal data beyond what's needed to operate the site, understand aggregate usage, monitor reliability, and serve ads after consent.
