What we collect

MotorEvents does not require an account to browse events. When you use the site, we may collect:

Analytics

Pages visited, search queries, and usage patterns via Google Analytics. This helps us understand which features people use.

Location

If you use location-based search, your browser may share your coordinates. This stays in your browser and is only used to find nearby events. We also read Cloudflare geolocation headers (approximate city/region) to personalize results.

Form submissions

If you submit an event, report an issue, or contact us, we store the information you provide (name, email, message).

What we don't do

We don't send marketing emails

We don't require accounts

We don't track you across other sites

Advertising

We may display advertisements on the site through Google AdSense or other third-party ad networks. Under our launch default, Google ad tags load only after you click Accept; if you click Reject or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, Google ad tags do not load. We do not share personally identifiable information with advertisers.

Cookies

We use cookies for Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and admin sessions. Google Analytics and Google AdSense only load after you click Accept on the consent banner (or after a prior visit where you already did). Cloudflare Web Analytics may run as infrastructure-level, cookieless measurement and does not use browser storage. Admin session cookies are strictly necessary and are set only on the admin login pages.

California residents (CCPA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We don't sell your data, but our use of Google Analytics and Google AdSense may qualify as "sharing" under CCPA's broad definition.

To opt out:

Click Do Not Sell or Share My Info in the footer of any page.
Or click Reject on the consent banner on your first visit.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as an automatic opt-out — no action needed.

Your choice is stored in your browser. If you use a different browser or clear your storage, you'll need to opt out again.

Third parties

Our infrastructure uses Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, security, and Web Analytics), Supabase (database, authentication, and storage), Railway (hosting and scheduled workers), Sentry (error monitoring), Google Analytics, and Google AdSense. These services may process requests on our behalf. We don't share your personal data beyond what's needed to operate the site, understand aggregate usage, monitor reliability, and serve ads after consent.
