2026 Fall Tour: The Return of the SOS

The fall tour is scheduled for the weekend of October 24-25, with John and Trudy Sutton bringing back the famous Sutton’s October Safari (SOS Rally). The first SOS Rally was run in 1975, a two-day backroads drive to La Crosse, Wis., and back. As rallymasters, brothers Al and John Sutton put on some great events. Since 1975, a version of the SOS has taken place several other times. The most recent was in 1999, titled Sutton’s October Safari “Revisited.” John and Trudy thought it was time to bring back the SOS. This is a two-day tour of some of the finest backroads in southwestern Wisconsin. It begins in northern Illinois and brings participants to La Crosse for an overnight with fellow car friends. The next day is another fun drive on challenging scenic roads, ending in the early afternoon in New Glarus. Detailed rally information and registration will be available soon.
