Experience the charm and beauty of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley in the Alleghany Special with your fellow Porsche Enthusiasts as we venture westward from historic Staunton through beautiful farmland of the Shenandoah Valley on a destination bound for the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests in our private dome car.
Bounded by the Blue Ridge and Alleghany mountains, the Shenandoah Valley is rich in historic and national resources. This excursion in our private dome car will take you through the region’s iconic rural landscapes—you’ll pass by farms with cattle, horses, and sheep. Views of the Alleghany Mountains will unfold as you venture west; it’s a photographer’s dream. The train begins its return journey in the hamlet of Goshen in Rockbridge County.
The three-hour round trip excursion departs at 10:30 AM on July 26th at the Staunton Train Station. After the train ride stay to explore Staunton. Staunton has a vast selection of top restaurants, wineries, and breweries, excellent shopping and an arts and culture scene that rivals larger cities. The glass blowing store near the train station is fabulous.
Parking is located at 415 Bridge Street, Staunton, VA. Suggested arrival time is 10:00 AM.
The cost is $110 per ticket which includes a boxed lunch.
The choice of lunch options are:
