2026 Championship Autocross Event 6

Chicago Region SCCA continues the 2026 autocross season with Championship Autocross Event 6 at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois, on Saturday, September 19, 2026. This SCCA Solo event gives drivers another opportunity to compete for championship points, build confidence behind the wheel, and enjoy a full day of autocross competition. Compete at Route 66 Raceway Autocross is a fun and approachable form of motorsports where drivers navigate a cone-marked course while aiming for their quickest clean run. Whether you are chasing season points, continuing to build experience, or attending your first Chicago Region SCCA autocross, this event offers a welcoming environment for a wide range of drivers. The event will run rain or shine, though competition may pause if lightning is observed in the immediate area. Drivers should come prepared for changing weather and bring gear for rain, sun, heat, or cooler temperatures. Registration and Schedule Registration opens on MotorsportReg on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 12:00 AM CDT. All entries must be prepaid through MotorsportReg. No cash or credit card payments will be accepted on site. Cards will be charged 24 hours before the event, and participants must cancel by 7:00 AM on event day to ensure a full refund. There is a hard registration cut-off at 8:15 AM, so drivers should arrive early enough to register, complete tech inspection, receive a work assignment, and walk the course before the drivers meeting. New to Autocross? New drivers are welcome at Chicago Region SCCA autocross events. New Driver Liaisons will be available throughout the event to answer questions, explain the event flow, and help first-time or newer competitors feel more comfortable throughout the day. New drivers are encouraged to arrive between 7:00 and 7:30 AM, complete registration and tech inspection, walk the course, and attend the 8:40 AM novice course walk. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license, wear closed-toe shoes while driving, and use a helmet that meets current SCCA requirements. A limited number of loaner helmets will be available at the event. Vehicles must pass tech inspection before running.
