2026 Championship Autocross Event 3

Chicago Region SCCA continues its 2026 autocross season with Championship Autocross Event 3 at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois, on Sunday, July 19, 2026. This SCCA Solo event gives drivers the chance to compete on a timed course in a fun, challenging, and welcoming environment. Compete at Route 66 Raceway Autocross is a precision driving competition where drivers navigate a course marked by cones, focusing on car control, consistency, and quick decision-making. Whether you are chasing championship points, building confidence behind the wheel, or trying autocross for the first time, Chicago Region SCCA offers an event format that welcomes a wide range of experience levels. The event will run rain or shine, though competition may be paused if lightning is observed in the immediate area. Drivers should plan ahead for changing weather and bring appropriate gear for rain, sun, heat, or cooler temperatures. Registration and Schedule All entries must be prepaid through MotorsportReg. No cash or credit card payments will be accepted on site. Cards will be charged 24 hours before the event, and participants must cancel by 7:00 AM on event day to ensure a full refund. There is a hard registration cut-off at 8:15 AM, so drivers should arrive early enough to register, complete tech, receive a work assignment, and walk the course before the drivers meeting. New to Autocross? New drivers are welcome at Chicago Region SCCA autocross events. Liaisons will be available throughout the event to answer questions, help explain the event flow, and guide first-time or newer competitors through the day. New drivers are encouraged to arrive between 7:00 and 7:30 AM, complete registration and tech inspection, walk the course, and attend the 8:40 AM novice course walk. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license, wear closed-toe shoes while driving, and use a helmet that meets current SCCA requirements.
